Match Report :

Tweedmouth’s hopes of completing a League double over Dalkeith were dashed when the Jags scored twice in the second half after Rangers went in one up at the interval.

On a heavy Kings Park pitch, which became increasingly churned up as the game progressed, Tweedmouth had the better of the first half. A number of chances were missed before Rhys Bloomfield rumbled the ball into the net to round off some great work from Craig Bell a few minutes ahead of the half time whistle.

Dalkeith were more dominant in the second period especially during the spell in which they scored their goals. The first came on 52 minutes. The hosts made ground through the middle before Kyle Brockie got in behind the defence to connect with a pass sent towards the far post, the referee satisfied he was onside.

Quarter of an hour later, the build up to what proved to be the winner was a corner soon followed by a cross from which Michael Lennie successfully aimed his header on to the inside netting at the other end of the goal.

In the final twenty minutes, Tweedmouth kept plugging away in search of an equaliser but a very happy Dalkeith held on to take all the points.
